Which Salesforce metadata can be translated in SimpleTranslate?

SimpleTranslate uses Salesforce APIs. Therefore, we can only retrieve and deploy certain metadata in SimpleTranslate.

Below is a list of metadata that Simple Translate currently handles:

  • Action:

    • Quick actions in Salesforce and its mobile app streamline workflows by providing
easy access to key functions like record management and call logging directly from Chatter.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Actions Overview

  • Apex Sharing Reason:

    • Are custom labels in Salesforce that specify why a record is shared programmatically using Apex.
They apply exclusively to custom objects and enhance record-sharing management by clarifying the
      purpose behind each sharing entry.

  • App:

    • Refers to a collection of tabs, objects, and other components that work together to serve
a specific business purpose. Apps provide users with a customized interface to access
      relevant data and tools efficiently.

  • Button and Link Label:

    • These elements allow you to perform actions like executing code, navigating
to URLs, or integrating with external systems.

  • Custom Field:

    • Is a user-defined field added to standard or custom objects to capture data specific to your organization's needs.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Custom Fields

  • Custom Label:

    • Is a feature that allows you to create and manage custom text values for your application.
These labels are particularly useful for storing text that appears in your application's
user interface, such as labels, error messages, and help text.

  • Custom Report Type:

  • Field Set:

    • Is a grouping of fields on an object that you can use to customize and dynamically display data
in Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and Apex code. Field sets allow you to define a set of fields
that can be reused in multiple places, making your application more flexible and easier to maintain.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Field Sets

  • Flow:

    • Tool that allows you to automate business processes by collecting data and performing operations
within your Salesforce organization. Flows can be used to guide users through screens for data
entry, automate record updates, send emails, and more.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Flows

  • Global Value Set:

    • Represents the metadata for a global picklist value set, which is the set of shared values that
custom picklist fields can use. A global value set isn’t a field itself.
Learn more: Salesforce: Global Value Sets

  • Layout Section:

    • Part of a page layout where you group fields, buttons, and related lists to organize information clearly.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Page Layouts

  • Lookup Filter:

helping users find and select relevant records more efficiently.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Lookup Filters

  • Picklist Value:

    • Predefined options in picklist fields that help standardize data entry by providing
users with a set list of choices. These values ensure consistency and accuracy in data collection.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Picklists

  • Prompt:

    • Represents record details about an in-app guidance prompt or walkthrough.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Prompts

  • Prompt Version:

    • Help users discover your products and services, adopt your processes,
or learn how to use a new feature.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Prompts

  • Record Type:

    • lets you create different “versions” of a record for the same object. This means you can
offer specific page layouts, picklist values, and processes to different groups of users,
so they only see what matters to them.
      Learn more: Salesforce: Record Types

  • Validation Error Message:

    • Tool used to ensure that data entered into the system meets specific criteria before it is saved.
When a user attempts to save a record that doesn't meet these predefined rules, Salesforce displays
an error message, prompting the user to correct the data
